Reader Response - Draft #1 The EA888 Engine (WIP)

A s stated by Roberts (2023) The 2.0L EA888 Engine is one of the most technically advanced engines produced and is now renowned as one of the standout engines of the 21st Century by car enthusiasts. Over the years, the EA888 has undergone remarkable evolution. According to Catrina C, 2020, the EA888 was introduced in 2007 by Volkswagen and it aimed to revolutionize efficiency, performance, and emission standards and supplant the EA113 series.  With the older, naturally aspirated (NA) technology of its predecessor, the EA888 introduced direct fuel injection for enhanced fuel efficiency and combustion control. As stated, in an article from greencarcongress (2021), the EA888 embraced turbocharging, a contemporary method to amplify torque and power in smaller-capacity engines. Now in its fourth generation, the EA888 has made significant strides. Equipped with an upgraded engine management system, it delivers superior performance, emissions control, and drivability. Furthermore, advancement

Initial research pathway

Description of 2.0L EA888 Engine Siew Hoong’s interest in cars and mechanical parts of automotive engineering brought us together to settle for this “bulletproof” engine that has been one of the more popular engines in the 21st century. Keefe has had an engineering background whilst he was in poly and has since gained substantial interest in machinery and researched further to learn more about this topic Our team looked into gAI and chose Chatgpt and Google to gain more insights about the engine and its origin. We subsequently visited the Mother’s Company, Volkswagen‘s website to learn more about how Ea888 engines came about. We gathered all the relevant information about the features and advantages of the engine and put it together.

Just Me, Myself and I

Dear Professor Blackstone, I am Keefe, currently a first-year student studying Mechanical Design and Manufacturing Engineering at SIT. I am writing this letter with the hope of providing you with a better understanding of who I am. I graduated from Temasek Polytechnic with a diploma in chemical engineering. Subsequently, I enlisted in the Army, and during my service, I decided to pursue a career in the SAF as an Army Engineer. After several years of dedicated service, I was offered a full-time study award to enhance my educational qualifications. Ultimately, I chose to pursue this degree as I feel that mechanical design and engineering will help me to build a strong foundation and I will be able to branch out to other specializations if required. During my stint in the Army, I was often appointed to give presentations to VIPs, both foreign and local. Though I still have areas for improvement, this drastically helped me develop confidence in my public speaking abilities. A communi

Interpret my interpretation

"Developing excellent communication skills is absolutely essential to effective leadership. The leader must be able to share knowledge and ideas to transmit a sense of urgency and enthusiasm to others. If a leader can't get a message across clearly and motivate others to act on it, then having a message doesn't even matter." -Gilbert Amelio, former President and CEO of National Semiconductor Corp     The quote above emphasizes how c ommunication is a vital skill as it encompasses how you translate your intent so it can be understood universally and effortlessly. Furthermore, having adequate communication skills will also influence your subordinates or peers to view you as a leader figure, which in turn impacts how they interpret the significance of your message and helps to command respect.
